KROBAR Distillery Producing Sanitizer For Hospitals, Emergency Responders and Local Businesses
To do its part during the COVID-19 crisis, KROBAR Craft Distillery is repurposing its distillery from distilled spirits to hand sanitizer. Last week, the Paso Robles-based small business quickly changed its production facility to produce high-alcohol sanitizer, called KROBAR Sanitizer, to help equip area hospitals, emergency services and public works departments, and the general public.
Re:Find Donates Hand Sanitizer to Nursing Homes and Other Essential Businesses
RE:FIND has donated 300+ gallons of hand-sanitizer to nursing homes, doctor's offices, fire departments, police stations, county health departments, non-profits, hotels, restaurants, fellow wineries, and community members since SIP orders went into effect.
We are working hard to keep our hand sanitizer in stock, at a fair price, so everyone can have access to this essential item. Made according to FDA guidelines, our sanitizer (denatured) is made from extremely pure, premium ethanol (80%) - the same grape-based liquid we craft into vodka - along with glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, purified water, and lemon essential oil. We love it because it doesn't try our hands!
We are all in this together so we are limiting the # of bottles each person can purchase. Until we are able to resume normal hours, we have Weekly Special Pick Up Hours of Thursday - Saturday between 12 - 5:30. If you cannot pick up your order during this time-frame, please write in the NOTE TO USE section, at checkout, when you would like to pick up your order. We will have your order ready on the table outside our tasting room doors.
Calwise Spirits Co. Providing Sanitizer to Law Enforcement Agencies, Fire Departments and Charities; Puts Call Out to Agencies in Need
In a vivid sign of the times, proprietor and master distiller Aaron Bergh of Calwise Spirits Co. has suddenly found himself producing a uniquely different product for an entirely new clientele—first responders, government agencies and charities who are in desperate need of bulk hand sanitizer. And he is now inviting additional agencies in need to contact him.
"When COVID-19 hit the California and San Luis Obispo area, I found out that there were many first responder agencies that didn't have access to these life saving ingredients, so the ethanol alcohol used to make our Big Sur gin is now going into hand sanitizer that is manufactured here at the distillery to meet FDA guidelines" says Aaron Bergh, President & Distiller of Calwise Spirits Co.
