Sunday September 22nd is the very special Table to Farm dinner, which we are simply calling TOMATO.

The evening festivities begin with a toast by owners Bill & Barbara Spencer, to our locally grown and made under the old oak tree. Countless varieties of heirlooms & the farm’s freshest seasonal bounty will be showcased by a covey of talented chefs.

On working with young Chefs & local farmers…

“Windrose Farm believes in sustainability - of farms, ranches and communities, and sustainability depends on the strength of the next generation.” ~ Barbara Spencer, Windrose Farm

Sunday's Supper features long-time friend of the farm meat master Chef David Wilcox, the ever-talented Chef Javier Ramos and local favorite farm to table Chef Tim Veatch of Wayward Bakery all together at Windrose Farm. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience these Chef’s collaborating and presenting this farm’s freshest fare. Guests are invited to arrive early to watch the behind the scenes magic as the crew preps for cooking in the infamous Colossus (aka the giant brassier that Bill built!) Chef’s and foodies alike savor this cooking modus.

Join in on a short farm tour with Farmer Bill, to then be followed by a multi-course meal showcasing Windrose Farm's tasty heirloom tomatoes, seasonal produce, Windrose Farm lamb and other local flavors paired by Ali Carscaden of 15c with fabulous wines, all served under the stars. Tickets are $150/pp. This dinner sells out quickly every year, so get your tickets soon at www.FARMsteadED.com

Windrose Farm is a small family farm located east of Paso Robles, near Creston, in San Luis Obispo County. Owners Bill & Barbara Spencer have been farming organic since 1990 and currently follow biodynamic farming practices.

In addition to heirloom tomatoes, Windrose grows onions, garlic, peppers, eggplant, winter squash, carrots, turnips, beets, melons and many varieties of greens. They also have heirloom apples and stone fruit. Their little valley is a unique micro-climate that is good for the diverse crops of lilacs, apples, super-sweet onions and melons.

FARMstead ED: Bringing folks together with locally grown via agri-CULTURAL experiences, workshops and gatherings. FARMstead ED’s goal is to promote farms, ranches and purveyors along the San Luis Obispo County Farm Trial creating pop-ups at local farms, ranches and other agricultural related venues. The charm comes from the opportunity for people to truly experience locally grown and made through a variety of different hands-on workshops and experiences on farms all over the county.
