Winter can be a blur of hustle and bustle as we race around holidays, travel, and seasonal activities. Paso Robles offers the perfect way to take a short little time out while indulging in the season! This three-day itinerary provides balance between holiday excitement and wintry coziness to add a little extra sparkle to the colder months.

DAY 1

studios in the park

Drop your bags at one of Paso Robles’s coziest hotels before taking some time to stroll around town. Paso’s Downtown City Park is lined with shops, cafés, and galleries, all decked out with lights and splendor. Stop into AMSTRDM Coffee or Spearhead Coffee for a delicious seasonal coffee treat, or try a delicious special pastry from Just Baked.

After you’ve fueled up, take some time to admire the lights around Downtown City Park. Cross at least a few to-dos off your shopping list by stopping with Paso’s incredible array of shops. There’s something for everyone, from the quirky local finds at the fabulous General Store, to artisanal gourmet goodies at Vivant Fine Cheese. Not sure what to get? It’s hard to go wrong with a unique piece from a local artist at Studios in the Park. And for the truly avant-garde, peruse the weirdly wonderful antiques at one of Paso’s treasure troves along Spring Street.

After a hearty dose of shopping, cocktail hour calls! It’s time to head to The Remedy at Alchemists' Garden. This 12-seat lounge is an elegant, intimate way to sip some seasonal spirits in style. Stay for dinner at The Garden for an inspired take on tasty classics. Savor the difference local ingredients makes in the hands of The Alchemist’s creative culinary team before heading back to snuggle in next to the fireplace or around the fire pit at your hotel.

DAY 2

Piccolo

Plan out some wine tastings in Paso while you’re here – you’re in the heart of Central Coast wine country, after all! Taste through a wide range of varieties and styles to choose pairings for every holiday meal. With five different wine trails to choose from, wine tasting in Paso can be as adventurous as you want! Pick a few classics like Tablas Creek or Eberle, or try some new-to-you wineries like Paix Sur Terre or kukkula to experience the best of Central Coast wineries. Be sure to ask winery staff for their favorite pairings to take home.

When you’re ready for a bite, explore the options in Tin City, like ETTO Pasta Bar or Hungry Mother food truck. Or, stop off at Finca on Spring Street for some of the best Mexican fare around!

After meandering downtown, warm up with comfort food taken up a notch at The Hatch. Wood-fire cooking and small batch whiskey – what’s not to love? Finally, end the evening at The Piccolo hotel rooftop lounge, Tetto. Whether it’s time for a nightcap or time to call it a night, the views from Piccolo will help end the day with twinkling stars and sparkling lights.

 Day 3

Paso Market Walk

The toughest part of three-day weekends is that we want just one more day! Before you leave town, head over to Paso Market Walk. This mixed-use space has everything from food stands like Momotaro Roman and Via Caravaggio 147 to specialty purveyors like Colline Flower Farm and Paso Robles Wine Merchant. It’s the perfect way to finish your weekend in Paso Robles, either with last minute souvenirs for friends and family or some extra special treats for yourself!
