Summer Events and Family Fun
Summer in Paso Robles promises signature events, outdoor experiences, and seasonal programming. Highlights include Fourth of July celebrations aligned with the United States’ 250th anniversary, performances at Vina Robles Amphitheater, and the California Mid-State Fair (July 15–26), featuring top musical acts including Chris Stapleton and Lainey Wilson. All summer long, the beloved Concerts in the Park series fills Downtown City Park with free live music every Thursday evening.
Visiting families and groups can enjoy a range of stays - poolside hotels steps from the downtown square to vineyard retreats, RV resorts, and spacious rentals designed for group travel. Paso Robles’ central location also makes it a natural stop on a California summer road trip, with the reopening of Highway 1 offering seamless access to nearby coastal destinations like San Simeon and Hearst Castle.
Paso Robles is also poised to be a unique destination for visitors to California during the FIFA World Cup, situated halfway between the Los Angeles and San Francisco host cities.
Kicking off in June, FARMstead ED SLO County Farm Trail offers self-guided, kid-friendly tours of local farms with its free, Open Farm Days June 19-21, 2026. The SLO County Farm Trail includes olive oil producers, lavender farms, animal ranches, and more, available to visit throughout the year on open days.
Makers’ market Tin City is hosting TinSide & Out on June 27, 2026, a free, open-house-style event inviting guests to explore its walkable neighborhood through tastings, shopping, and behind-the-scenes access to local makers. A free shuttle is also available.
Over Fourth of July weekend, Paso Robles’ historic buildings and true Western spirit shine alongside holiday weekend programming celebrating America’s 250th birthday. On July 4, the annual celebration held by the City of Paso Robles and Travel Paso at Barney Schwartz Park returns with a full day of free programming, including live music, food, and fireworks.
From August 7-9, the Paso Robles Distillery Trail Weekend invites guests to explore the rich flavors and unique craftsmanship of 12 boutique distilleries along the Paso Robles trail.

Experiential Parks and Destinations
Experience a milestone season at The Ravine Waterpark, which celebrates 20 years with new amenities, themed events, and expanded programming - from summer competitions and holiday weekends to family-focused experiences like Mermaid Day and Christmas in July. The Cove, a new resort-style retreat, debuts this summer, offering a relaxed way to enjoy the water.
Paso Robles’ immersive art destination, Sensorio, continues to expand with new installations and community initiatives, including a forthcoming public art contribution in downtown Paso Robles.
Celebrating seven years, Sensorio offers seasonal programming around the Fourth of July, summer concerts and jazz night series, Sensorio Gives Back evenings, local craft fairs, partner pours, astronomy, and winery nights. The art park has evolved its food and beverage menu, outdoor seating, and will debut a new entry village, plus exhibit expansions of Fireflies, Radiant Roots, and Field of Light.
New Dining and Hospitality Concepts Debut Across the Region
Paso Robles’ culinary scene continues to expand with notable openings and reimagined hospitality venues across the region.
At the historic Paso Robles Inn, renowned chef Charlie Palmer is leading a multi-phase culinary transformation. The now-open Cattlemen’s Bar revives a historic gathering place with an elevated Western aesthetic. In June, Salina Rooftop at The Piccolo debuts as the city’s only rooftop bar, offering views over the town square alongside coastal Italian-inspired cocktails and bites. Coming this fall, The Pass by Charlie Palmer joins as a modern tavern centered on open-fire cooking and seasonal California cuisine.
On Highway 46 West, The Anderson Paso has transformed the long-standing “castle” landmark into a fully reimagined bar, event space, and restaurant, open for lunch and dinner, delivering approachable California cuisine with Southern influences and a Central Coast wine program.
Downtown, the food and beverage scene continues to grow with concepts like AMSTRDM opening a brunch location at the former Thomas Hill Organics space and new arrivals such as BoBar Paso.
Meanwhile, at River Lodge Resort, Ciao Papi returns for the season, serving Italian-inspired fare, craft cocktails, and local wines in an al fresco, poolside setting. The property also has summer pool passes available, offering a relaxed “daycation” experience for visitors.
The Ava Hotel, opened in August 2025, celebrates rooftop season with new Sunday Fundays at Esperanza on the Rooftop, including DJ sets, pool passes, VIP cabanas, and elevated food and drinks.
New Ways to Experience Paso Robles
Visitors have more ways than ever to explore Paso Robles this summer with expanded retreat offerings.
Visitors can also explore the region in new ways through Destination Paso, a women-owned planning company now offering customized corporate retreats and group travel experiences. From vineyard horseback rides and private tastings to culinary classes and outdoor adventures, the company delivers curated, locally driven itineraries..

At Allegretto Vineyard Resort, wellness and exploration take center stage with an extended Paso Robles Tasting Passport program through August, as well as seasonal spa experiences such as the “Ultimate Skin Refresh” facial. Originally opened in Oct. 2015, The Allegretto Resort has recently been approved for a major expansion, adding 93 hotel rooms, a 12,000 square foot conference center, gym, spa, restaurant and pool.
In September, Paso Robles will welcome the nationally celebrated food and wine platform Cherry Bombe for The Farmers & Makers Market, September 25–27, a multi-day event celebrating food, wine, and female leadership in agriculture.
