Paso Robles, California, May 2026: Ravine Waterpark, a beloved Central Coast destination, is proud to celebrate its 20th Anniversary season in 2026. Since opening in 2007 on Airport Road, the park has become a cornerstone of family entertainment in Paso Robles, offering a unique blend of thrilling slides and relaxed leisure set against the backdrop of wine country. Originally founded by local partners Jay Walsh, John Pehl, and Brett Butterfield, the waterpark was built from the ground up following years of planning, permitting, and construction.

What began as a vision to create a family focused outdoor recreation space has grown into one of the region’s most recognized summer attractions. Early expectations were modest, with initial projections of welcoming approximately 400 guests per day. Today, the park regularly hosts up to 2,000 guests on peak summer days, reflecting its growth and strong connection to the community. Built on a vision of creating a place where families and youth could spend time outdoors and make lasting memories, Ravine Waterpark continues to deliver on that mission two decades later.

To mark this milestone year, Ravine Waterpark is unveiling two new attractions: The newly transformed Splash Lagoon, with an interactive waterslide structure and multiple new slides designed for both kids and parents, including a 4-person racer slide; and The Cove, a new splashless pool and hot tub area, designed as a quieter respite for families and adults featuring an elevated dining menu, expanded bar offerings, and upgraded cabanas set to open mid-summer.

Premium cabana experiences have also been added throughout the park, offering front section parking, complimentary WiFi, private refrigeration, in-cabana lockable storage, along with water bottles and snacks. Premium Cabana guests also receive 20% off at Bongos retail store and a custom reusable Ravine Tote filled with curated extras, including a Ravine towel, goggles, mini golf passes and more.

"Reaching 20 years is an incredible milestone for Ravine Waterpark,” says Brett Butterfield, partner and co-owner of Ravine Waterpark since 2007. “We are proud to be part of the Paso Robles community and to continue creating a space where families can gather, celebrate, and make lasting memories.”

Season Kickoff, 20th Anniversary Party

The celebration begins with the official 20th Anniversary Party on Sunday, May 17 from 12pm to 5pm. Season Passholders receive complimentary admission, while a limited number of tickets will be available to the public for $20.

The event will feature live Hawaiian music at the Tiki Bar, a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Splash Lagoon, birthday cupcakes, and park wide festivities. Guests can also enjoy 20% off cabanas, 20% off food and beverages with cabana rentals, 20% off Bongos, free water, $2 specialty drinks, and complimentary slushie samples.

A Full Summer of Signature Events

The 2026 season will include a robust lineup of ticketed events and theme weeks designed to extend the park’s appeal beyond traditional daytime visits:

Summer Singing Competition Series, held across multiple Tuesday evenings in June, will spotlight local talent in a high-energy karaoke-style competition with tickets available to purchase.

A Murder Mystery Dinner will offer an immersive evening experience combining dining and interactive entertainment. Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets early.

Fourth of July Celebration Weekend will feature a kickoff concert and pool party, followed by in-park patriotic activities including water games and family competitions.

Mermaid Day, Christmas in July, Pirates and Princess Day, and the Labor Day Luau will provide themed experiences for guests of all ages throughout the season.

A Regional Economic and Community Asset

Operating seasonally each year, Ravine Waterpark has grown into a significant local employer and tourism anchor for the Central Coast, employing over 300 local high school and college students each summer.

"As a community partner in Paso Robles, we’re committed to continuing to evolve the waterpark as a destination for both locals and travelers,” says Steven Gifford, General Manager at Ravine Waterpark. “We prioritize safety and maintenance at every level while focusing on delivering a high quality guest experience, from attractions to food, beverage, and events, all designed to showcase the best of our community.”

From upgraded technology systems and improved parking to expanded shaded areas and enhanced amenities, the park’s ongoing improvements reflect its long-term commitment to both guests and the Paso Robles community.
