PASO ROBLES, Calif. — Sept. 28, 2026
As Highway101 turns 100 this November, Nomada Hotel Group is celebrating the California road trip with five historic properties reimagined for a new generation of travelers along the Central Coast.
The route stretches from the Santa Ynez Valley through San Luis Obispo to Paso Robles, connecting wine country, coastal communities and historic roadside towns. Together, Nomada’s five boutique hotels offer a quintessential Central California road trip rooted in the character and history of each destination.
To mark the centennial, Nomada is inviting travelers to complete its Road Tour by staying at all five hotels within 365 days. Guests who complete the journey receive a complimentary year of Roadie Membership benefits, including preferred rates, upgrade priority, and other perks.

In the meantime, Nomada collection is expanding its lodging in summer 2027 with the opening of Pozo. Located 17 miles east of Santa Margarita, California, in the once-forgotten frontier town of Pozo, the historic Pozo Saloon has welcomed travelers since 1858. Woven into the town’s rich history of legend and lore, the Saloon has long served as a gathering place for live music, camping and community.
The lodging at Pozo will be a historic “encampo” destination with ten vintage airstreams as well as the capacity for ten sprinter van or RV spaces located adjacent to the iconic and thoughtfully restored Pozo Saloon.
Among its variety of unique amenities, the property will also boast a distillery, and outdoor soaking tubs, and a full-service restaurant neighboring the location’s lake, hiking trails, and horseback riding trails.
Nomada Hotel Group was founded by Kimberly Walker, who serves as Founder and Creative Director of the brand. Earlier this year, Walker launched the Nomada Collection, a management platform designed specifically for independent, design-led hotels seeking operational expertise without sacrificing their individuality.
