Cherry Bombe and Travel Paso Announce Farmers & Makers, a Weekend Celebrating Women in Food, Wine, and Farming in Paso Robles

May 7th, 2026 (New York, NY) – Cherry Bombe and Travel Paso are excited to announce the Farmers & Makers Market, a weekend celebration of California's women farmers, winemakers, and culinary talent, taking place September 25–27, 2026 in Paso Robles, California. The three-day event features an opening night welcome party on Friday, a full day of programming and tastings on Saturday, a special dinner with a guest chef on Saturday evening, and an intimate farm-to-table supper on Sunday evening.

"Paso Robles is a region defined by independent thinkers, and a remarkable number of them are women, from multi-generation farmers to first-time winemakers to chefs reimagining what California cuisine can be," said Stacie Jacob, President and CEO of Travel Paso. "Collaborating with Cherry Bombe on the Farmers and Makers Market lets us share that story with a national audience, and to do it during one of the most beautiful weekends of the year on the Central Coast.".

The weekend opens Friday evening with the Welcome Party, presented by CA GROWN at The Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar— an evening of wine, bites, and community to kick off the weekend.

Saturday morning begins with a relaxed activity, offering a gentle start to the day and a chance to take in the region’s beautiful scenery. A special Wine Pairing Lunch presented by J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines will follow, featuring their white wine portfolio paired with seasonal California cuisine.

Saturday afternoon is headlined by the Cherry Bombe Farmers & Makers Market, running from 3 to 7 p.m. at the 1889 House and The Piccolo at the Paso Robles Inn. The centerpiece of the weekend, the Market features walk-around tastings of California wines, seasonal foods, and artisan products; rolling panels in the 1889 Ballroom, rooftop talks at The Piccolo, and conversations with women farmers, winemakers, chefs, purveyors, and makers; live vendor demos in the Piccolo Courtyard; and intimate rotating wine tastings.

Saturday evening, the weekend continues with She's My Cherry Pie: After Dark, a dinner presented by California Prunes at EMRE at The Ava Hotel, featuring guest chef Sarah Thompson of Wynn Las Vegas.

The weekend closes Sunday with a morning Walking Tour of Downtown Paso Robles & tasting at Hope on Park  hosted by Gretchen Roddick, Executive Vice President of Hope Family Wines. Sunday evening features the Whole Foods Supper Club — an intimate farm-to-table dinner celebrating women in agriculture and one stop on a national three-city series produced by Cherry Bombe and Whole Foods in 2026.

Individual event tickets are available now, with early bird pricing through June 30 and discounted rates for Bombesquad members and Paso Robles locals throughout the on-sale period. A limited number of VIP Weekend Passes — including access to all weekend events — are also available, with a portion of proceeds benefiting local Paso Robles charities.

"The number of dynamic, fearless, accomplished women leading farms, driving innovation, and shaping the future of food has grown more than 13 percent in the last decade," said Karen Ross, Secretary of the California Department of Food and Agriculture. "Women-led farms are often at the forefront of soil health, water conservation, and long-term land stewardship — and women in agriculture support industry leadership in innovation that feeds the nation, supports millions of jobs, and leads the way on climate-smart, sustainable farming practices. Farmers & Makers is a beautiful way to celebrate and amplify that story."

Farmers & Makers celebrates the International Year of the Woman Farmer, a United Nations initiative that recognizes women's essential role in global food systems and aims to address gender gaps in access to land, finance, and resources.

Kate Miller Spencer, CEO of Cherry Bombe, said "Farmers & Makers is our love letter to the women who grow, make, and sustain the food we love, and Paso Robles is the perfect place to tell that story. We are so proud to bring our community here and showcase the bounty of the Central Coast."

Cherry Bombe Farmers & Makers Market is produced in partnership with Travel Paso, California Grown, Whole Foods, California Prunes, Hope Family Wines, California Milk Advisory Board, J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines, Paso Robles Inn, The Piccolo at Paso Robles Inn, and EMRE at The Ava Hotel.
