Created specifically for car enthusiasts and collectors to satisfy their wanderlust safely during COVID-19, this small-group luxury grand tour will explore the best of Paso Robles, and include exclusive culinary and winery experiences – all the while providing peace of mind. Reservations are open.
Oct. 5, 2020 (Paso Robles, Calif.) – Canossa Events, Italy’s preeminent luxury touring program for discerning auto enthusiasts, is pleased to announce reservations are now being accepted for its next Grand Tour California – Paso Robles, taking place Nov. 5-8.
Created specifically for car enthusiasts and collectors to safely satisfy their wanderlust during COVID-19, this small-group bespoke grand tour will explore awe-inspiring drives and exclusive experiences along Highway 1 and throughout Paso Robles wine country, which The New York Times named a must-visit in 2020.
Just thirty minutes from coastal Highway 1, and set among the rolling foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains, Paso Robles is where the luxurious world of wine and slow-food meets California cowboy culture. Guests will enjoy a private, insider’s guide to Paso Robles’ secluded vineyard drives, its most exclusive wineries and winemakers, and its elevated farm-to-fork cuisine.
How It Works
Similar to Canossa’s longstanding touring program in Italy’s Motor Valley, there are two tiers to the California tours: open rallies, and exclusive vehicle-specific rallies. The Nov. 5-8 Grand Tour is an open rally and available to the general public, but is limited to twenty guests and/or ten cars total.
Because of COVID-19, those on the Nov. 5-8 Grand Tour will provide their own cars. If desired, Canossa’s concierge team can help guests secure a classic or luxury auto for the tour though one of their many partners throughout California.
There are currently only two vehicle-specific rallies in Paso Robles with availability. The first is for Ferrari drivers, taking place Oct. 22-25; the second for luxury Electric Car drivers, taking place Oct. 29-Nov. 1. Both tours are limited to twenty guests and/or ten cars total. Only a few slots remain.
Drive Well, Do Good
Canossa will match a portion of guest contributions to the Alice Waters’ acclaimed Edible Schoolyard Project, which supports innovative school programs that promote sustainability through local farming and educates students on the vital importance of environmental stewardship.
In addition to its renowned wine, its slow-food ethos and jaw-dropping views, Paso Robles was chosen as a destination in large part for its community-wide commitment to sustainability. A majority of the region’s wineries and farms grow organically, the acclaimed Sustainability in Practice (SIP) certification farming program was founded there, and Paso was one of the first wine regions to create a network of charging stations to promote electric vehicle travel.
Commitment to Safety
The Canossa staff is prepared to welcome guests with the usual smile, even if hidden by the mask, and will provide all necessary protective gear. All operators involved in the tour comply with safety regulations and will ensure that necessary safety protocols and physical distancing does not prevent us from sharing our common passion.
