Going Pink for Pinot and Paella at Wild Horse Winery Oct. 7

Proceeds from fundraising event in Templeton to benefit Cancer Support Community

TEMPLETON, CA: Mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct. 7 and come on out to Wild Horse Winery in Templeton for the Going Pink for Pinot and Paella event benefiting the Cancer Support Community. The fundraising event, held in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Ticket-holders will enjoy wine, food, live music, and amazing views of the vineyards and grounds surrounding the winery.

“Not only does this event help the Cancer Support Community,” says Wild Horse Winery Visitor Center Manager Leslie Churchill, “it is a chance to try some of the best Pinot Noirs made on the Central Coast, sample amazing paella, and listen to the sounds of Proxima Parada. Everyone will receive a logo wine glass to take home, plus the positive feeling of helping those in our local community affected by cancer.”

Wild Horse Winery is known for making exceptional Pinot Noir from some of the best South County Vineyards on the Central Coast. The flight at the fundraising event will include Pinot Noir from famed vineyards such as Bien Nacido, Santa Maria Hills, Righetti, Rancho Sisquoc, and more. In addition, Chef Nick Nolan will be cooking up his famous paella to pair with the wines.

Although this is the first year for the staff at Wild Horse Winery to host Going Pink for Pinot and Paella, they have worked with the CSC in past years, donating $2 from every bottle of Rose sold in the tasting room each October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

“Cancer, specifically breast cancer, is something that affects nearly everyone, whether it is a personal struggle or that of a loved one,” says Churchill. “Wild Horse Winery wants to be able to help those in our community who need the support the CSC can provide. We hope everyone will come out to our Going Pink for Pinot and Paella event on Oct. 7 to show their support as well.”
