Symphony Concert - "Mendelssohn in Scotland"

"We are so thrilled to be back at the historic Mission San Miguel, a sacred place to share some of the most incredible music with you. As a young man, Felix Mendelssohn traveled to Scotland and was inspired by the castles, landscapes, islands, and the sea. These impressions are captured beautifully in his 'Scottish' Symphony, a work with the dark orchestrations, Romantic melodies, and dancing, lilting rhythms. This will be a full orchestra featuring the finest musicians in the region.

We also are presenting Mozart's Concerto for flute and harp - a unique composition combining flute and harp. It is delightful and elegant. Thank you for joining us! Enjoy!" Greg Magie, Symphony of the Vines Music Director.
