Paso Robles is located almost exactly midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles on the 101 freeway, and 40 minutes from the coast and Hearst Castle.

Directions

The best place to start any visit to Paso Robles is at the City Park, located downtown between 11th and 12th Streets. From there you will find dining, tasting rooms, a movie theatre, shopping and the Visitor Center.

From the South
Take US 101 North. Downtown Paso Robles is accessible by using the Spring Street offramp. Then follow Spring Street north.

From the East
Take Highway 46 or 41 from Interstate 5 and the valley, they will bring you right into town on 24th Street. To get downtown, turn left onto Spring Street.

From the North
Take US 101 South. Downtown Paso Robles is accessible by using the 16th Street offramp, follow 16th Street and turn left onto Park Street.

From Cambria and San Simeon
Take Highway 1 South. Three miles past Cambria will be Highway 46 (Green Valley Road), turn left going east toward Paso Robles, then take US 101 North. Downtown Paso Robles is accessible by using the Spring Street offramp. Then follow Spring Street north.

From Morro Bay
Take Highway 41 East to Atascadero then US 101 North. Downtown Paso Robles is accessible by using the Spring Street offramp. Then follow Spring Street north.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

Paso Robles has a municipal airport, RPB, with a full service Jet Center and general aviation services. Click here to download Current Special Aviation Travel Packages.

The closest commercial airport is in San Luis Obispo , about 30 minutes south of Paso Robles, with shuttle service by Wine Country Charters. You can also check our transportation page for other shuttle options.

The closest international airport is in San Jose, about 2 hours north of Paso Robles.

We have an Amtrak station located in Paso Robles at 800 Pine Street. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.amtrak.com (no ticket kiosk is available at this location).
