Vine Street Victorian Showcase

It isn’t Christmas in Paso without the annual Vine Street Victorian Showcase. Next Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, will mark Vine Street’s 28th year lighting up for the holiday season. Vine Street, one of the first residential streets in Paso Robles with many vintage Victorian homes, will be the brightest part of this holiday season in Paso!

The Vine Street Victorian Showcase is an event that people anticipate all year long. Each December, thirteen blocks of beautifully decorated Victorian homes have visitors flocking to Paso from all around. In addition to the incredible light display, many local clubs, schools and non-profit organizations line the streets, distributing a wide selection of tasty holiday treats.

After filling up on delightful cookies, cider and cocoa, enjoy the sounds of the season with choirs and live entertainment. You are sure to hear awesome versions of your favorite Christmas songs, such as Jingle Bell Rock or O Holy Night, performed by spirited Central Coast locals.

One of the main attractions is Ebenezer Scrooge who lives at the corner of 14th and Vine Streets. Every year he comes out to “yell” at the passers-by to stop all holiday cheer and leave him alone. This routine is one of the highlights for all who are in attendance, and the tradition is to shout “Happy Holidays!” and “We love you!”

So come out to Paso Robles to experience one of the longest running traditions in town. See Santa Claus and all of his friends, the Snow Queen and King, as well as Scrooge and the Grinch. Try some tasty treats and don’t miss out on the incredible display of holiday lights at the 28th Annual Vine Street Victorian Showcase on Dec. 13, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. Visit to book your stay!
