Kick off the Holiday Season with Paso’s Traditional Lighting Ceremony
Tuesday, November 10, 2015
The holiday season is a magical time in Paso Robles, filled with an array of festive family-friendly events. While Elegant Evening Downtown is the first event of the season, set to take place on November 14, it’s the traditional Downtown Lighting Ceremony on November 27 that truly signifies the beginning of the holidays.
Every year, residents and visitors alike join in this special event as Downtown City Park comes to life with the holiday spirit. The festivities begin at 10 a.m. for the Holiday Craft Bazaar. It’s the perfect place to find unique and treasured holiday gifts as you spend the day perusing the various booths featuring arts, crafts and handmade goods from local purveyors.
Then, as the clock tower tolls 6 p.m., Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves will arrive at the park’s historic bandstand to throw the giant light switch transforming the park into a glittering holiday wonderland.
The 29th Annual Downtown Lighting Ceremony will be truly memorable, featuring live music, speeches from local dignitaries, candlelight caroling, and free hot chocolate and cookies. Visitors of all ages will be dazzled as festive lights illuminate the park trees, shop windows and beautiful downtown buildings. The Holiday Craft Bazaar and Downtown Lighting Ceremony are free to the public and are great events for all ages. Gather together with friends and family in downtown Paso and start the holiday season with this beautiful tradition. Make it a weekend getaway of shopping and festive fun and book at one of the beautiful lodging properties in Paso Robles.
