My Trip to Paso Robles: A Lucky Winner

We drove down fairly late on Friday night after a hectic week and settled in at the surprisingly delightful Courtyard Marriott Hotel, which was comfortable and well situated for our weekend's plans.

Introducing Paso Robles’ “Friday Giveaways”

The Skinny
Here’s the deal – we will be posting a trivia question each week (on our Facebook page, blog and Twitter account) and everyone who submits a guess will be entered to win something cool from a Paso Robles business (think wine, food, event tickets, etc.). We will tag a local business in the question or the answer so that you can go like their Facebook page if you so desire. This helps us keep our tourism businesses and Paso Robles fans “in the know”. And we get to give away free stuff, which we think is pretty cool.

Holiday Magic on the Hilltop at Hearst Castle

What happens behind the scenes at the castle?  Well, decorating such a large house takes a great deal of time and a lot of very talented people. The Hearst Castle staff usually begins working to prepare for the holidays around the second week of November.  Decorations remain up until around the 2nd of January.  There is a small window of time to participate in this magical experience and you do not want to miss an opportunity to see the Castle in its full holiday glory!
